The Castles Relay selection is nearing completion and the Tewkesbury Half at the end of this month will conclude the team. As well as the final selected team, we are hoping that as many Club members as possible will come and support, either for the whole weekend or for the day on the Sunday - please let Andy know if you are not running but would like to come along and support - this will be gratefully received!!
Please do not think you have to be one of the 20 runners to come and enjoy the "Castles Experience" - ANYONE CAN BE A PART OF THIS GREAT WEEKEND. Just let Andy (Club Chairman) know.
The Clevedon 10k takes place on 12th June, newly named The CLEVEDON “flat & fast” MIDSUMMER 10K it incorporates the AVON COUNTY 10K CHAMPIONSHIPS again this year. It is set over a very fast and flat course starting in Clevedon from Mary Elton School in Strode Road at 7:30pm - heading quickly out into the country lanes of Kingston Seymour makes it a definite PB course. With a fast and flat course, medals for every finisher and cakes on sale at the finish as an incentive – Clevedon AC are hoping for fine weather and a bumper turnout. …..Led by Club Coach Paul Bird, this 10k race is also the culmination of weeks of training for Clevedon ACs Introduction to Running squad and the groups achievements will be quite rightfully recognised in the post race awards ceremony.
