Takes place on Tuesday 11th June with a race start time of 7:30pm.Entries will be available on the night at Mary Elton School in Strode Road, CLEVEDON, from 6:15 pm - we suggest you arrive early to avoid unnecessary queuing. Parking will be available in and near the Strode Road Sports Centre, CLEVEDON.
We suggest you arrive in plenty of time as the last race entry on the night will be accepted no later than 7:20pm in order to give you time to get to the start!!!!
Starting at 2pm (and finishing) at the Boatfloat Bridge on South Embankment, runners follow the road out to Stoke Fleming running out towards the mouth of the river Dart. Once at Stoke Fleming runners turn returning via the lanes towards Little Dartmouth, then back along Dartmouth`s South Embankment to the finish in front of a crowd of hundreds of cheering spectators.
Parking at Regatta is at a premium, so please remember to arrive in plenty of time. Public toilets and showers are located on South Embankment. Luggage/bag storage provided.
Neil Maston from the running club will be organising the campsite, so if you are interested and want to stay for the weekend then please let him know.
Clevedon Athletic Club is a thriving and friendly running club, based on the North Somerset coast-line 12 miles from the City of Bristol.
Formed in May 1977, we have gone from strength to strength and are now a major force to be reckoned with in the South West – regularly producing notable success on the road as well as team achievements in Relays and Cross Country leagues.
Caters for all abilities from th eage of 15 years and upwards. The training is geared to your inividual goals; working within a team environment o enable you to reach your potential.
Club training nights are held on Tuesday (summer time we use the track at the Clevedon community school) and Thursday evenings throughout the year, meeting at Clevedon’s Strode Leisure Centre, as well as structured sessions on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
We have organised the prestigious Clevedon 4 Mile Boxing Day Race since 1977 which now attracts 1,000 competitors, as well as the Midsummer 10K and the North Somerset Road Relay.
Our aim is to promote an enjoyable and rewarding interest in athletics for runners of all abilities in a safe and friendly team environment.
